Seniors Emergency Fund
Due to the emergency declaration by the State of California and closure of all Senior programs in the City of Marina, The Marina Foundation has created the Marina Seniors Emergency Fund. We have put together a food supplement program for Marina Seniors that will begin this Tuesday, March 24th from 2-4 p.m. This will be a "drive through" program at Los Arboles Middle School/Teen Center - 294 Hillcrest Avenue in Marina. We will be working directly with the Food Bank For Monterey County and the City of Marina. We plan to continue this program for as long as it is needed and realize time is of the essence. We may also add a second distribution day as the need arises.
If you wish to donate to help us fund this program you can do so in the "donate" section "Seniors Emergency Fund" of our website. It has been made abundantly clear that we will need to underwrite all food purchases. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Currently we have a $2,500 matching grant to help us start the funding of this program.
