Seniors Emergency Fund
Due to the emergency declaration by the State of California and closure of all Senior programs in the City of Marina, The Marina Foundation created the Marina Seniors Emergency Fund. We put together a food supplement program for Marina Seniors that began on Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. This is a weekly "drive through" program began at Los Arboles Middle School/Teen Center - 294 Hillcrest Avenue in Marina. The program has since moved to Glorya Jean Tate Park, 3254 Abdy Way in Marina, and continued through the end of June, 2021.
The idea was to ensure that none of our seniors were being forgotten. The flyer below was created as a mailer specifically for that purpose and to make sure that the entire City of Marina knows what food resources are available to them. The mailer was sent to every address in the 93933 and also to businesses in Marina.
If you wish to donate to help us fund this program you can do so below where it says "Donate". Your donation will go directly to this program. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
We have received a second matching grant for $2,500 from Monterey Peninsula Engineering to help with the funding of this program.
We are also grateful to Community Foundation for Monterey County for a COVID-19 Grant of $10,000.
We thank you in advance for any support you can give us to help our seniors.
Please check back regularly for updates to stay informed or follow us on Facebook.
