Don Livermore Scholarship for Marina Marina High School – To help support the Don Livermore Scholarship for Marina High School and other local programs, the Foundation raises funds by selling trees obtained through the races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In 2010, two $500 scholarships were awarded to two seniors planning on attending college. |

Marina Schools Assembly Program - In 2011, the Foundation is granting $500 to each school in Marina to be used for School Assemblies. |

PBIS Program at Marina High School - In 2010, the Foundation provided a matching grant to Marina High School for their Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Program. |

| The City of Marina Sculpture Garden Project: | |

The Marina Public Art Ad Hoc Subcommittee was established by the Recreation and Cultural Services Commission to relocate eight sculptures formerly located at The Sculpture Habitat at the Marina Municipal Airport, and to re-establish a public arts venue named “The City of Marina Sculpture Garden” (TCOMSG). The lower park area of Vince DiMaggio Park has been accepted by the City of Marina as the permanent location for “TCOMSG”. |

The City of Marina/On The Beach Skate Team, the new California State Champion for the 2010 California Amateur Skate League National Skate Federation State Championships, now advances to the National Championships, to be held August 1, 2011 in San Diego. The team will represent the State of California as the Junior Olympic Gold Medal State Champions. |

Seniors on the Go! Senior Van Project - The City of Marina Recreation and Cultural Services Department provides much needed senior programs for the Marina community including renting an ADA (Americans with Disability Act) van to take seniors to various venues both locally and regionally. It is the desire of The Marina Foundation to raise and donate funds to purchase an ADA compliant van to help seniors maintain an active schedule of local and regional shopping, and educational and recreational activities that will continue to help make the program a success. |

“Common Threads and Synergies” was the topic of the first Marina Non-Profit Summit, hosted by The Marina Foundation, on March 1st 2010. All Marina non-profit organizations were encouraged to send a representative to this summit to discuss common goals, community event scheduling, and how The Marina Foundation can benefit the non-profit community. |
