The following programs have special events to raise funds at specific times of the year.  They are:

Jack Stewart College Scholarship - Golf Tournament on Presidents’ Day in February - POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL 22nd.

Marina Man and Woman of the Year Award - This is the annual fundraiser for The Marina Foundation.  Marina citizens are awarded for their contributions to the City over time. Held in April 28th.

Veterans Transition Center – Held Memorial Weekend Dinner to benefit the Veterans Transition Center. Funds raised from the dinner have helped to procure their new flag pole, 2 brass plaques for the entrances at the hall, and assistance with the Food Pantry.

Don Livermore Scholarship For Marina High School - Annual Roast and Fundraiser for the “Man/Woman of the Hour” in early Fall.

Captain Gordon R. Nakagawa Scholarship For Marina High School A partnership with Wreaths Across America where donations can be made for a living wreath to go to either our new California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery or to Arlington National Cemetery or so that one can be purchased and one donated (called a Patriot Pair). Held in November early December.


The following programs do not have specific fundraising events and rely on grants and donations from the community:

The Marina Foundation Veterans Fund – Supports financially the needs of Marina and regional organizations that focus on improving the lives of Veterans and active duty military.

The Breakfast Program at the Marina Teen Center  Serves breakfast to approximately 165 to 225 Marina middle school and high school students each morning between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. during the school year, excluding breaks and holidays.

The Marina After School Nutrition Programs at the Marina Teen and Marina Community Centers – Serves healthy snacks after school and during breaks and holidays at both centers.

The Marina Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration – Annual event on the first Friday in December at Vince DiMaggio Park.

Marina Historical Committee – Collects, stores and archives the history of Marina for possible future display.

School Programs – The Foundation has put aside funds to be granted on an “as needed” basis to our local Marina schools.
