 
The Don Livermore Scholarship for Marina High School
The Don Livermore Scholarship for Marina High School is
the first program to be authorized by The Marina Foundation. The goal is
to award scholarships on an annual basis to students attending Marina High
School.
This
year, the Don Livermore
Scholarship will award two $1,000 Scholarships to qualified Marina High
seniors. Each scholarship will be divided into two $500 payments over a
two year period, and will be granted based on verification of school
enrollment. Community Service will be given extra consideration in
awarding these scholarships.
Scholarship
Requirements:
Student must have a minimum
2.8 grade point average (GPA).
Student must be a
graduating senior attending Marina High School (MHS).
Community Service will be given extra consideration in awarding these
scholarships.
Application
Requirements:

an official copy of the
student’s transcripts showing the GPA.
3.
at least one letter of
recommendation from a faculty or staff member at MHS.
4.
a one-page response to the question: “How has what you’ve
done so far prepared you to achieve your goals?”
Essays should be typewritten and should include a
heading that contains the applicant’s name, address, and telephone number.
The application packet
(including the transcripts, letter of recommendation, and essay) must be
submitted to the Counseling Office at Marina High School no later than April 30, 2011 to allow us enough time to make our
decisions and notify the recipients prior to graduation.
